Me, in a nutshell
I became a proofreader and editor because of my love of language and how powerful a tool it can be. I love words, grammar and punctuation, and get upset at the use of errant apostrophe’s (deliberate mistake, that one), not to mention poor spelling. I am also a self-confessed perfectionist and am never truly satisfied until I have completed a task to my exacting standards.
Throughout many years in hospitality, it became clear to me that some really understand the power and effectiveness of the written word; others believe that, provided the words are in the right order, the format, tone and vocabulary is not important. I would argue that the way you present yourself or your business can have a profound impact on the way you are perceived.
